The Assistant Director for Information Services, under the leadership and direction of the System Director, performs various duties to assist in the planning, organizing, implementing and managing of the System’s personnel, programs, and services. The Assistant Director directly supervises Reference staff, is responsible for delivering information services to residents of Baldwin County, and will assist the System Director with administrative and strategic functions of the System.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of public library experience, including a minimum of one (1) year of experience with supervising staff and managing library services
- One (1) year of experience with reference services, adult library programming, and/or community outreach
- Master’s Degree from an ALA accredited institution in Library and Information Science
- Ability to obtain a Professional Librarian’s Certificate from the State of Georgia
