On Thursday, November 24, through Saturday, November 26, the libraries of the Twin Lakes Library System will be closed in observance of the American Thanksgiving holiday, the official start of the winter holiday season for many across the U.S. (personally, my holiday season starts with Halloween). Many over the years have dubbed Thanksgiving as ‘Friends’ giving, not just as a gesture towards attempts of being more politically correct but because friends and family are synonymous in our busy lives. I am always thankful for a moment to get together with friends and family over a hot meal and good conversation. This November has been stressful for many obvious reasons but we should not let that bog us down in being gracious and thankful. Let us look forward to the future. If you’re not feeling very thankful then just give thanks for the existence of your public library system.
Happy Thanks & Friendsgiving!
